Today Kate met with the surgeon to hear his evaluation of her progress. All signs were positive.
The x-ray looked very good, and from his reaction, I think Kate is right where she should be in the recovery process.
The next steps will involve continuing to increase the time off the oxygen, eating more small meals (to get around the metallic taste of food that occurs about five minutes after beginning a moderate-size meal), and spending time walking outdoors.
We will have another appointment in three weeks with the surgeon before resuming our travels, but we have many meals to sample before we travel.
