Today concludes our walk down New Orleans' Bourbon Street.
We began the evening with the plan to portray a partial picture of life on Bourbon Street through its neon signs.
We found elaborative, decorative, attention-grabbing signs,
and we found simple, basic identifiers.
But the colors of the street appeared in places other than these signs. Whether it was from the colored lighting of living areas or
the colors of the buildings in low lighting or
the colors of simple street scenes, there was more to this famous street than "invitations" from clubs and their sidewalk barkers.
So our walk concluded with the discovery of the simple scenes created by the more utilitarian lighting of the street.
