Our final entry about our tour of Canyon de Chelly National Monument, home of the Navajo people near Chinle, AZ, shows some of the petroglyphs (pecking on the rocks) and pictographs (paintings on the rocks) on the canyon walls.
Our tour guide Percy took time to make sure we could see these early drawings, many of which were many, many yards away and barely visible with the aid of our telephoto lenses.
If there was a story shown in, or behind, any of the drawings, we did not learn anything about them.
(Most are small and may be seen in a larger form by highlighting the photo and left double clicking.)
