The Krewe of Jingle

For the fourth year, the Krewe of Jingle led the official holiday parade through downtown New Orleans.

A stiltwalker led the parade that had

the usual marching bands,

floats,

and dance troupes.

But any parade in New Orleans will have at least two other com-ponents: (1) the unusual group--here are the Muff-A-Lottas, "a new, fun, inclusive marching and dance troupe wit a N'awlins waitress theme. We encourage women of all ages, races, shapes and sizes to join us! But ya gotta love all things glitter, satin, 'Bun Warmers', olive salad, N'awlins music, and a little lagniappe...if ya know w'at I mean!"--and

(2) beads. Not just Mardi Gras parades, but it seems like any parade will feature beads, coins, food items (including coconuts in some parades), and stuffed animals.

And there's still more of the parade coming around the corner.
