San Diego Wrap

It was time to be moving on.

We wrap up our stay in San Diego with photos of a few flowers we saw on our walk along the ocean in La Jolla.

The next photos were taken during the afternoon picnic at the Dannenberg Family Reunion held in the park at Spanish Landing, across the bay from this marina. Kate and I were stationed at the serving table and had time for conversation, but little time for photography.

Shown in the following photos are my (Chuck) cousin Linda Dannenberg Stevenson and

her husband Craig Stevenson and

my cousin Tom Miller.

The family gathered at Pizza Nova for the evening and were treated to a beautiful view of this marina in the Point Loma section of San Diego.

Once again, we spent more time in conversation with the relatives and took few photos. Rather than bringing my four aunts and one uncle together for a group photo, I took these candid shots.

My aunt Joan Gavin (left in photo) is shown with my cousin Sandra Dienst Flake.

Sandra is shown in this photo with her mother Margaret Dienst.

Joan (left) is shown with her sister Martha Hoover.

Hank Dannenberg is shown talking with his sister Evelyn Morton.

These four aunts (Margaret, Martha, Evelyn, and Joan) and one uncle (Hank) are a joy to be with. They are all active with many stories to share with younger members of the family.

We captured this last glimpse of San Diego from the bridge to Coronado.

It's on to Tucson.
